"As a representative of national rowing, I want to share that it is a privilege for the entire Spanish rowing family to be able to celebrate such an important event in Seville, thanks to the collaboration that World Rowing and Andalusia have undertaken, in favor of rowing and as a tourist and sports destination for high level.
During the weekend of next November 9, Seville will become the world capital of rowing by celebrating the World Rowing Awards, which will bring together the best rowers of today, granting a total of 8 awards, highlighting results and projects. linked to our specialty. It will be a memorable weekend, taking into account that this year is an Olympic and Paralympic year, and coinciding with the exciting Seville-Betis Regatta, in addition to other activities.

This year, we're excited to unveil the University Rowing Program of the Year award at the World Rowing Awards, spotlighting universities that excel in all aspects of rowing, academics and environmental impact. This accolade honors the institution that not only achieves competitive greatness but also cultivates a nurturing and dynamic rowing environment. The award will be awarded to the program that provides comprehensive support to its athletes, exemplifying outstanding achievements both on and off the water.

Best Classical Rowing Destination
For the first time ever, this November we will also celebrate the essence of tradition and heritage with the "Best Classical Rowing Destination" accolade. This award is dedicated to cities or regions that, beyond offering excellent rowing facilities and conditions, are deeply ingrained in the sport's rich history. It honors destinations that have become synonymous with rowing excellence, captivating rowers and spectators with their enduring legacy and commitment to preserving the classical spirit of rowing.
